A yearly adventure marathon - 42Km, 21Km, 10Km.
Unlike previous years, as of 2011 FMDM participants and spectators will be taken directly to a desert camp from where the marathon will start/end. Use of individual 4x4 vehicles is not encouraged to travel to camp. We wish all participants to make use of scheduled transportation from/to the Visitor Center. There is an hourly shuttle scheduled between the hours of 10pm and 1am to take participants back to Rum Visitor Center if anyone does not wish to stay the night in the desert.
