Jordanian artist Hani Alqam at Nabad
 


During the past few years, young Jordanian painter Hani Alqam has earned himself a prominent position on the Jordanian art scene. His work focuses on society, and the frailty and complexities of the human psyche. According to one critic, “there is a condensed, heavy charge of intensity and drama in the work of artist Hani Alqam. . . . He remains unwavering in his universal approach to humanity and its complex expressions.” Born in Amman in 1977, Alqam has held three solo exhibitions and participated in numerous international group shows.
He lives and works in Amman.
