Al Balad Music Festival aims to promote the musical experiences from the Arab world hosted as a musical carnival for an entire week. The festival also works to open the space for the exchange of music between the Arabs.
Al Balad Music Festival’s Objective is to develop new horizons to support local & regional emerging artists & musicians through presenting them in huge performances based festival in front of wide & diverse audiences. It also offers the opportunity to exchange regional music through the Music Market space which happens in parallel with the festival, presenting Amman’s history from one of its most ancient monuments: The Odeon Amphitheater.
Main concepts of Al Balad Music Festival: Presenting new musicians:
Al Balad Music Festival aims to present young artists from Jordan & the Arab region to a diverse audience, & providing new spaces to promote their music & giving them the media exposure they deserve.
The musical exchange between Arab musicians The festival will host a number of young professional Arab musicians to present their work among the festival performances, & meet established Arab musicians through closed meetings, to discuss their musical path & learn from their valued experiences.
CD production
Al Balad Music Festival will produce a musical CD that has 1 track by each participating musician/ band. The production will include more than 10 songs which reflect the new musical orientation in the region. This CD will be launched after the festival, & distributed for free, in addition to delivering 50 copies to each artist for free.
Music Market
A space that showcases the work & productions of musical bands & young musicians. Artists & musicians get the chance to expose all media material related to their music in a space that goes in parallel with the music festival.
