Celebration of Indian Culture in AMMAN - Rajasthani Dance
 


India is a beautiful mosaic of cultures. To showcase India’s rich heritage and promote multi-layered cultural exchanges between the peoples of India and Jordan, 10-member cultural troupe sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and led by Shri Sadiq Khan Langa from Rajasthan State of India, is visiting Jordan from 25 to 30 January 2018

H.E. Mr. Nabih Shuqum, Hon’ble Minister of Culture of the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest during the Cultural Troupe’s performance in Amman on 25 January 2018.

Rajasthan has many forms of folk dances which are attractive, skillful and enjoyable by any age group. Rajasthani folk dances are popular all around the globe. IN Jordan, the troupe will perform a variety of folk dances including Kalbeliya, Ghoomar, Bhavai, Gramin, Fire, Chari and Banjara dances, many of which have gained international recognition. The visit of the Troupe has been sponsored by Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India, as a part of celebration of 70 years of India’s Independence in Jordan. The current event is part of celebrating India@70 series organized by Embassy of India in Amman.
