WE ARE HERE — BANAT AL QUDS A collective, all-female voice rising from the heart of Jerusalem. Emerging from the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, Banat Al Quds was founded in 2011 by musician Suheil Khoury, rooted in the belief that singing is an act of existence and that music is a space for freedom and life. Today, the ensemble brings together over 40 Palestinian singers and musicians, united in one powerful voice that carries memory while shaping the future. Banat Al Quds sing for the city, for women, and for everyday life under a sky heavy with questions. Their repertoire weaves together Arab and Palestinian musical heritage with contemporary arrangements and original compositions that reflect their personal and collective experiences. It is music that knows where it comes from—and where it is going. In this performance, we meet Banat Al Quds through melodies that travel across time, singing together: “WE ARE HERE.” Here, where music becomes an act of survival. Where the voice opens a space for healing. Where singing is a promise of continuity. “WE ARE HERE” is not just a concert. It is a shared moment in which we raise our voices, reclaim hope, and declare—despite everything—we are here. Join us on this journey, because with your presence, the voice becomes whole.
